There are very few students or adults who would not derive some benefit from the Travel Training program. It is recommended that virtually no one be eliminated from training, but, particularly with students, certain basic requirements must be met for program to be of real use.
Considerations for selecting students for individual Travel Training include:
Parental Support: Once the student finishes, will their parent(s) allow them to ride the bus?
Student interest: Are they likely to take the initiative to ride upon completion of the program?
Access: Is their house on or near a bus stop and does the bus have the accessibility features they need?
